The role.

  • Manage and develop both a current customer base and new account opportunities B2B in Australia by profit and volume in our growing pet category
  • Identify new opportunities within the pet food manufacturing industry
  • Undertake customer visits local and interstate to grow the category
  • Source ingredients local and international and manage supplier relationships
  • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure best business terms
  • Competitive total remuneration package inclusive of car allowance and phone allowance
  • Derrimut western suburbs head office location
  • Monday - Friday 8.30am-5pm + potential one day work from home after 6 months.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in a buying role, sourcing ingredients for the pet food industry locally and overseas combined with sales experience selling to pet food manufacturers
  • Willing to undertake both procurement and sales activities including new business and growing existing accounts
  • Strong understanding of food safety
  • Ideally a science, food science degree or similar
  • Brings connections in pet food manufacturing including suppliers and customers
  • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills.
