As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced and driven Finance Manager to strengthen our finance function and support our growth.

About the Role

The Finance Manager will lead Venergy's finance operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and effective cash flow management. You will work closely with the CEO and management team, supporting strategic decision-making and driving improvements across all financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the month-end and year-end reporting process
  • Produce accurate P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reports
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and tax obligations (BAS, payroll tax, superannuation)
  • Strengthen internal controls, processes and financial systems
  • Provide commercial insights and recommendations to management
  • Support the finance team and mentor existing staff
  • Liaise with auditors, accountants and external advisors
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CA/CPA preferred)
  • 5–7 years experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards
  • Proven experience with month-end reporting, cash flow management, and budgeting
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to lead, mentor and build positive team culture
  • Experience in construction, solar, or project-based industries (advantageous but not mandatory)
