BoraCare is a leading provider of Child & Youth Services, Specialised Disability Support, and Inclusion programs. We're currently seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join our team.

Working with our Accounts & Payroll team, the Finance Officer at BoraCare plays a pivotal role in the coordination of payroll processing, verifying accurate wages, tax withholding and company deductions. The role is fundamental to ensuring the organisational finances are managed effectively and that all financial transactions are carried out effectively and efficiently in line with industry legislation.

  • Ensuring payroll accuracy while maintaining award interpretations and legislative compliance
  • Supervising and supporting accounts & payroll team members
  • Overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Driving continuous improvement in systems and processes
  • Financial reporting & monitoring of expenditure (monthly/quarterly) to comply with Government-funded contracts.
  • Monitoring workloads and meeting critical deadlines

Qualifications and Training

  • Relevant qualification/certificate in finance and accounting (desirable)
  • Knowledge of general payroll practices, procedures, operations, and legislation
  • Maintaining all Industry and organisational-related mandatory clearances and training requirements

Experience and Knowledge

  • Experience in data input and/or payroll/accounting background.
  • High-level attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Xero
    or similar payroll/accounting system experience (Highly Regarded)
  • Knowledge of SCHADS Award and NDIS pricing arrangements
  • Good data entry skills, accuracy, and proven reliability.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and effectively manage and respond to time-critical and sensitive information.
