About The Role

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this full-time, permanent role sits within the IT team. As Senior Manager, Technology Governance, Strategy & Architecture, you will lead the development and oversight of technology governance, enterprise architecture, and financial planning.

The role ensures that technology operations and investments are consistent with business goals, risk management practices, and regulatory obligations. You will manage the Technology PMO, oversee the application of standards and frameworks, and lead financial reporting for the technology function. Through structured reporting and collaboration across teams, the role supports transparency, sound decision-making, and ongoing improvement in how technology is managed across the organisation.

In this role you will:

Technology Strategy & Architecture

  • Define and maintain the enterprise Digital Strategyaligned with business goals. Champion and communication of the enterprise Digital Strategy across the business.
  • Develop and govern enterprise-wide technology architecture standards, principles, and frameworks.
  • Ensure architectural alignmentacross platforms, applications, infrastructure, and data.

Technology Governance

  • Establish and enforce technology governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Ensure compliancewith internal controls, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.
  • Oversee technology risk assessmentsand mitigation strategies for areas of accountability.

Technology Financial Management

  • Own and lead the governance of the technology budget, including planning, forecasting, and expenditure tracking.
  • Ensure cost transparency and alignment of investments with strategic priorities.
  • Manage vendor contracts and oversee financial performance of technology investments.

Technology PMO (Project Management Office) Oversight

  • Establish and maintain fit for purpose project governance frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
  • Monitor project portfolio health, including project delivery status, risks, and benefit realisation.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on project performance and strategic outcomes.

Governance Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

  • Develop and deliver governance reports for executive committees, boards, SLG and regulators.

About You

  • Tertiary Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Certified in COBIT, ITIL, TOGAF, PMP/PRINCE2, and Agile/Scrum methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Scrum Master).
  • Extensive experience in technology leadership roles, with responsibility across strategy, architecture, governance, and financial management.
  • Proven experience in enterprise architecture and technology strategy development in complex environments.
  • Strong background in IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience managing a Technology PMO, including portfolio oversight and delivery assurance.
  • Demonstrated financial accountability, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimisation for large-scale technology functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in executive stakeholder engagement, governance reporting, and cross-functional leadership.
