We have a delightful opportunity available now for a friendly and enthusiastic Senior Sales Assistant to join our team at Bakers Delight Muswellbrook.

As a Senior Sales Assistant, you will help lead and manage the sales team to provide delightful customer service and to drive sales. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced retail sales expert to sink their teeth into this important role.

To be successful in this 'roll', you will:

  • Be a strong verbal and written communicator
  • Be able to influence, motivate and inspire a team
  • Be proud of your strong customer service skills, be able to upsell and have strategic sales skills
  • Provide personalised service to delight each and every customer
  • Have previous experience in a similar role (but bakery experience is not a requirement)
  • Seek a rewarding career in the retail industry.

What you'll be doing

  1. Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
  2. Operating the cash register and handling financial transactions
  3. Preparing and packaging baked goods for sale
  4. Replenishing and maintaining stock levels
  5. Ensuring the store is clean, tidy and well-presented at all times
  6. Supporting the wider team to complete daily tasks and achieve store objectives

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience in a customer-facing retail or hospitality role
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
  4. A friendly, positive and helpful attitude
  5. The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  6. Availability to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
