Mayoral and Councillor Support Officer

• Full time ongoing position
• Band 5 - $78, % superannuation

Do you want to be part of the action and work with a dynamic team that plays an integral role supporting the Mayor and Councillors?  We are seeking an Mayoral and Councillor Support Officer who has a positive approach and supportive mindset with a strong attention for detail.

Reporting to the Coordinator Governance, you will provide comprehensive administrative support with the key responsibilities of the role including:

• Executive support to the Mayor and Councillors
• Diary management in organising meetings and appointments
• Processing correspondence on behalf of the Mayor
• Preparing the Mayor for meetings and events
• Organise travel arrangements
• Process Councillor requests
• Provide high level of customer service internally and externally

You love being organised plus you'll have:

• Relevant administration support experience
• Experience highly regulated work environment
• A high level of customer service and ability to establish strong relationships both internally and externally
• The ability to work within competing deadlines and priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work independently and part of a small team

As the ideal candidate, you will bring strong organisational skills, excellent prioritisation abilities and be able to own their responsibilities. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, and exhibit proactiveness and a can-do attitude.
