We're on the lookout for an engaging Customer Support Consultant ready to jump into a full-time role for 12 months. Our Customer Support Consultants play a key role in helping our customer transition seamlessly post-settlement through their home loan lifecycle. This includes processing progress claims for our customers who are building their home, completion of FHOG and the after care of a fully funded loan, including attending to customer enquiries, assisting customers navigate HomeStart's online services and accurate processing of administrative functions.

What your day to day might involve:

  • You will be responding to incoming calls from our existing customers and assisting them with their queries.  You will also respond to queries that come via email, HomeStart website links, mail and occasionally face to face.
  • You'll strive for first-call resolution when responding to customers concerns through sound reasoning of product, policy and legislation.
  • In times when you are unable to resolve a query immediately, you'll liaise with the appropriate area of the business and escalate where necessary.
  • You will provide support to our customers accessing our self-service/digital solution and troubleshoot technical issues, and escalate when necessary.
  • You'll be processing and funding progress payments for our construction loans and along with other administrative tasks, you'll also be processing FHOG applications.
  • This role requires you to be agile. You could be on the phones talking to our customers in the morning, and by the afternoon you could be undertaking administrative tasks.
  • You'll provide support to the broader HomeStart team when required.

The types of skills and experience we are looking for:

  • We are looking for someone who has experience in a similar customer service role, ideally in a lending operations and banking environment.
  • You have a good understanding of mortgage lending/loan management.
  • Team work makes the dream work  You are a team player with the ability to work autonomously.
  • You have fantastic communication skills (both written and verbal) along with strong negotiation and problem solving ability.
  • Your attention to detail and accuracy is impeccable.
  • You are computer literate with the ability to work across multiple systems throughout the day.
