About the Role
Uniting is seeking an experienced
Maintenance Officer
to join our team and support the upkeep of our aged care and retirement living services. This full-time, Monday to Friday role (38 hours per week) offers stability, a competitive hourly rate, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our communities.

You will be responsible for the maintenance of buildings, property, plant, and equipment to ensure a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake both planned and reactive maintenance in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with WHS standards and organisational requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families with empathy and respect.
  • Support the delivery of safe and high-quality aged care services through proactive property and asset management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS and building-related legislation.
  • Trade background preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good computer literacy and organisational skills.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence

Even Better:

  • Demonstrated experience in a maintenance role, preferably in an aged care /Retirement living setting
  • Detailed knowledge of the application use of CMMS (Computerised maintenance management system) training can be provided
