Emergency Services Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking qualified and dedicated Emergency Services Officers to join our team. This critical role requires a dynamic individual who thrives in high-pressure environments and is committed to ensuring the safety and security of personnel, assets, and infrastructure.

As an Emergency Services Officer, you will operate individually and as part of a team to deliver high-level emergency, security, and medical services across our client sites. This includes performing security patrols, gate access control, fire and rescue response, first aid, confined space and heights rescues, support during hazardous materials incidents and site evacuations.

Roster:  Ad hoc 12-hour day and nights shifts, based on a 14 days on / off roster

Employment Type: Casual

Travel Type:FIFO (Fly in / Fly out) – From Brisbane, Townsville, Cairns or Darwin

Key Responsibilities:

• Protection of the workforce, equipment, and information assets.
• Respond to medical, fire, and emergency incidents across site
• Conduct vehicle, personnel and material loss checks
• Control and monitor access at the entry points on site and other accesses including the provision of gate, perimeter, and internal security services.
• Monitor security and automatic fire alarm systems
• Provide regular Site boundary, building and infrastructure patrols.
• Provide alcohol and drug testing services
• Provide first aid and complete trauma kit inspections and replenishments
• Assist in the site evacuation including tasks such as printing evacuation reports and undertaking the directions of the Incident Response Team
• Undertake and assist with emergency response, first aid and security training
• Provide emergency response and rescue across several types of incidents including at heights and in confined spaces

• Current Manual MR Driver's License.
• Certificate II in Security Operations.
• QLD Security License that can be transferred.
• HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid
• HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy
• PUAEME005 - Provide pain management
• HLTPAT005 Collect Specimens for drugs of abuse
• Proof of Working Rights in Australia (Birth Certificate, Passport or Visa)

Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue

• PUAFIR207 Operate Breathing Apparatus
