We're Hiring – Workshop Fitters

Location: Western Mechanical QLD Capella, QLD

Western Mechanical QLD is on the hunt for Workshop Fitters to join our growing crews in both Capella and Springsure. If you can swing a spanner without throwing it, know your way around ag machinery, and don't mind a bit of grease under your nails – you might just be the legend we're after.

What You'll Be Doing -

  • Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing anything from light vehicles to trucks, trailers, and farm machinery
    • Performing routine maintenance
  • Tackling advanced diagnostics and repairs on complex systems – because let's face it, nothing's ever simple
  • Talking with our service co-ordinator and customers (translation: explaining things in plain English, not "mechanic speak")
  • Keeping accurate records of jobs – yep, the paperwork. But, it's important too

What We're Looking For

  • Trade qualification as a diesel mechanic (or solid experience in something similar)
    • Strong problem-solving skills – bonus points if you can fix it before smoko
  • Great customer service skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of modern automotive systems
    • High attention to detail and pride in your work
  • A positive attitude and a team player (we've already got enough grumpy buggers)
