Green Light Worldwide is a growing consulting organisation known for its work in Telecommunications and System Integration Services organisations. We have a requirement for an experienced and enthusiastic Storage Administrator/ Engineer to join our delivery team.

In this role the Storage Administrator/ Engineer will work as a member of a larger team with the primary responsibility of implementing and supporting storage systems for projects. The ability to manage Storage Administration, OS Storage stack and storage protocols for our customer base as well as understand Storage infrastructure is key to be successful in the role. Advantageous will be an understanding of virtualisation, automation, networking and database.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring, storage and switch performance trouble shooting, and providing support services for Storage systems and Virtualisation infrastructure.
  • Recommend improvements in processes and designs to support best-practice delivery of business outcomes, while reducing inefficiencies and variances.
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members with respect to upgrading and cross-skilling storage knowledge.
  • Deliver end-to-end engineering services to stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of VMware and storage systems to provide ongoing support.
  • Report and escalate issues to relevant teams where required.

Requirements:

  • Experience within Large Storage Environments both SAN and V-SAN.
  • Solid background in virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere
  • Strong experience on enterprise storage technologies and procedures including EMC, HP, HDS
  • Proven ability to automate tasks using tools like Ansible, PowerCLI, PowerShell etc.
  • Experience to provide, troubleshoot, manage capacity, analyse performance and execute upgrades.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a dynamic business environment.
