About the Role

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support our Burwood and West Ryde stores. At Rent a Space, Assistant Store Manager's work collaboratively with Store Managers as well as Sales Support Centre team to exceed business expectations and deliver outstanding customer service whilst aligning to our company values.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to engage in a variety of operational duties including customer sales, service, administration, and facility maintenance, with opportunities for personal growth in each area. We're looking for confident, self-motivated, and proactive individuals who excel at completing tasks.

What You Can Expect in the Storage Consultant Role:

  • Leadership Development: You will gain practical experience in supporting store and facility operations, with the opportunity to grow and develop your leadership skills.
  • Customer Interaction: You will be the primary point of contact for customer enquiries and concerns, ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
  • Variety of Tasks: Each day will offer something new, from sales to operational responsibilities. You will be involved in a blend of customer service, team leadership, and managing the overall facility.
  • Team Collaboration: You will collaborate with a supportive Store Manager to achieve store goals and deliver exceptional service to our customers.
  • Problem-Solving: You will tackle on-the-spot challenges, from customer concerns to operational issues, providing quick, efficient solutions.
  • Performance Goals: You will play a key role in meeting sales targets, directly impacting the store's success and overall growth.

Working hours

Our stores operate from 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:00pm Saturdays and pm Sundays. Candidates should be available and willing to work weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring excellent customer service is consistently delivered.
  • Responding to customer enquiries or concerns promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintaining & cleaning of the storage facility & grounds.
  • Assisting in the achievement of monthly sales and KPI targets of the store.
  • Assisting with store operations, including maintenance, security, access control, inventory management, and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive team culture that aligns with the company's values and fosters teamwork, care, and excellence.
  • Action general administration duties such as timesheets, customer contracts and inventory management.
