Health Receptionist

Canberra Foot Surgery is looking for an enthusiastic and organized Health Receptionist to fill a maternity leave period of at least 6 months. Join our team on a casual basis with the possibility of an ongoing position. Up to 2.5 days per week offered with flexible hours. We offer specialist allied health and surgical services with podiatry, podiatric surgery and sports medicine on site. Your new role offers a great opportunity to work in a dynamic, patient-centered environment at our modern clinic located in the Deakin health precinct.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Manage appointments, phone calls, and email inquiries.
• Process patient information, update records, and ensure accurate data entry.
• Handle payments and private health insurance POS claims.
• Maintain a welcoming and efficient reception area.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A passion for helping patients through their health journey.
• Prior experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare setting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment.
• Proficiency in medical practice software (experience with Cliniko and GenTu desirable).

• Competitive hourly rate of $28 - $33 per hour, commensurate with experience.
