About the role

Are you an experienced automotive Workshop Controller looking for an exciting new role? Lakes Hyundai in North Lakes, QLD is seeking a talented Workshop Controller to join their team. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the workshop, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximising productivity.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the daily operations of the workshop, including scheduling, resource allocation and workflow
  • Monitor technician productivity and ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard
  • Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide updates on the status of their vehicle
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workshop efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the workshop team
  • Collaborate with the sales and parts departments to optimise the customer experience

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience as an automotive Workshop Controller or similar senior role
  • Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Proficient in using workshop management software and other relevant tools
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and enhancing workshop performance
  • Passion for providing exceptional customer service
