Yass Earth Movers (YEM) is a locally owned and operated business that has been servicing Yass and districts since 1964. We provide high quality excavation and earth moving services. We operate a vast range of machinery which enables us to cater for all types of excavation and earth moving projects.

YEM is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic truck driver to join the team. The positions are for day/night shift work based in the ACT and day shift based in Yass. You will be required to work on weekdays and weekends.

CASUAL weekend positions also available.

Tasks and Responsibilities

General operation of Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicle including general driving in line with NSW/ACT road rules, loading, tipping and entering and exiting work sites.

Qualifications and experience

The applicant shall possess:

  • a current HR truck licence
  • a full drivers licence
  • at least 6 months experience in the operation of a HR vehicle
  • a safe driving record and history
  • a positive and high regard for safety policies and procedures
  • extensive knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations
  • a reliable and flexible attitude
  • a professional work ethic
  • excellent organisational and communication skills
  • safety training in White Card, Asbestos Awareness & Silica
