About the role

This full-time Import and Export Operator role at Express Customs and Forwarders offers an exciting opportunity to work in the customs clearance and freight forwarding industry.

If you're a recent graduate or early in your freight forwarding career, this is your chance to develop your skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

As the Import and Export Operator, you will be an integral part of the team at Express Customs and Forwarders. You will work alongside our Operations Manager and Senior Customs Broker to provide a high level of service to our domestic and international clients and partners.

This role is based full-time at the Express Customs and Forwarders office near Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with full-cycle import and exports operations, from pre-shipment to final delivery
  • Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders and Government agencies
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or issues
  • Process import/export documentation and invoicing
  • Provide excellent service to clients and partners throughout the import/export process

What we're looking for:

  • An enthusatic candidate willing to learn and develop their career within the freight forwarding industry (experience in the freight forwarding industry would be an advantage but not required)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, authorities, and colleagues
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Proficient in the use of all MS Office products (proficiency in Cargowise would be an advantage but not required)
  • A team player with a positive, customer-focused attitude
