Job Summary

  • All classes are conducted online.
  • Planning, preparing and delivering English lessons (writing, comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary etc) to groups of students or individual students in primary school and/or secondary school
  • Teaching according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the students
  • Assigning, correcting and grading homework assignments, tests and quizzes online
  • Minimal preparation is required, as most of teaching materials will be provided, including teaching guidelines, parts of student homework and test paper.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • compulsory: Applicant must study at least in Secondary school in Australia before
  • Excellent understanding of selective school test, selective class/OC and scholarship test
  • A minimum of 1 year working as a teacher or tutor in English
  • Native speaker of English
  • Demonstrated classroom strategies including behavioural management and lesson planning
  • Ability to support students through differentiation to meet individual learning needs
  • Excellent collaborative skills, including the ability to work with parents, students and colleagues
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passion for teaching
  • A responsible team player
  • Working With Children Check

Desirable:

  • A qualified teacher OR process/be currently working towards a relevant teaching qualification in primary/ secondary education OR Certificate III/ IV in Education Support OR a bachelor degree/higher degree in English
