Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working closely with children, young adults and adults, providing tailored educational support, and adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs, including those of students requiring special education.

Duties

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in various subjects.
  • Assess students' learning styles and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Develop personalised lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educators to ensure a collaborative approach to learning.
  • Create an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters confidence and motivation.
  • Stay updated on educational best practices and incorporate them into tutoring sessions.

Skills

  • Passion in tutoring or teaching, particularly with children.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information and engage students.
  • Ability to educate diverse learners, including those with special educational needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage lesson plans and track student progress effectively.
