Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Container Exchange (Qld) Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Our Values: Be proactive – Value others – Work together - Contribute positively – Be transparent.

About Us: Container Exchange (COEX) is the not-for-profit organisation appointed to manage and grow QLD's Containers for Change refund scheme. Our purpose is to reduce beverage container litter, increase recycling efforts and provide community benefit. Our vision that 'no container goes to waste' reflects real commitment to a truly circular economy, one where every eligible container is recovered, recycled and reinvested. Since 2018 we've kept over 10 billion containers out of landfill, returning over $1 billion in 10c refunds to Queenslanders

The Role: As the Integrity & Compliance Lead, you'll play a key role in safeguarding the integrity of the Containers for Change scheme by designing, delivering and managing programs to prevent, detect and address non-compliance and integrity issues. Reporting to the Manager Risk, Audit and Compliance, you'll lead investigations, manage compliance initiatives and ensure our program runs smoothly and ethically. You will:

  • Lead integrity and compliance activities.
  • Provide strategic advice and assurance.
  • Partner with COEX teams, QLD Police Service and the Director of Public Prosecutions.
  • Conduct investigations including evidence collection, interviews, affidavits and surveillance.
  • Ensure investigations are compliant with legislation, privacy and evidentiary standards.
  • Deliver data driven insights and reports.
  • Prepare investigation reports with actionable recommendations
  • Design and deliver training on fraud awareness, investigations and compliance.

Who You Are: Our values are at the heart of our culture. We're looking for people share these and are eager to be part of a team that brings them to life. With a passion for driving behavioural change to build a stronger culture of integrity, you have proven to be a trusted advisor. You bring:

  • Strong knowledge of legislation related to criminal, civil, and administrative offences.
  • High level research skills to interpret and apply legislation impacting COEX activities.
  • Proven ability to analyse data, identify trends and deliver actionable insights.
  • Experience in investigations, fraud detection and preparing briefs of evidence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in presenting insights.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or equivalent.
  • Eligibility to hold a Blue Card.

COEX has been certified by Great Place To Work Australia, a recognition that reflects both the incredible culture and passion our team brings every day. We are also very proud to have achieved official Inclusive Employer status, awarded by Diversity Council Australia.

How to Apply: If you're ready to join one of QLD's most impactful environmental initiatives, we want to hear from you.
