Coordinator – Day Programs - Career Development and Community Access
Valmar Support Services Ltd is seeking an experienced and dedicated Coordinator to join the Day Programs team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated leader who is passionate about person-centred disability care and wants to make a meaningful difference in their local community.
In this role, you will be responsible for the daily management of Day Program activities, encompassing the direction and management of a team, arranging and responding to Person Centred Plans (PCPs) for clients, and liaising and negotiating with families, internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and implement innovative individual client and group-based programs ensuring client and guardian involvement, social inclusion and community participation.
• Develop and implement program plans that include client choice, client goals and promote social inclusion and community participation.
• Reviewing, maintaining, and responding to client Person Centred Plans (PCPs)
• Deliver client outputs as specified in the Client Allocation Support Plan (CASP).
• Provide high quality care and support, encompassing client health and well-being care needs.
• Manage and develop a team of disability support workers.
• Ensure compliance within the scope of the NDIS quality and Safeguards regulations and standards.
What You'll Bring
• Hold at least a Certificate IV in Community Services or other relevant qualifications and must work towards the attainment of a Diploma or better.
• Appropriate and applicable experience in a similar field.
• Capabilities to manage a team, solve complex problems and negotiate with participants, supporters and support services.
