Senior SQL Server Engineer – Government Project

6–9 Months | Starting October | Canberra | Baseline Clearance Required

We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior SQL Server Engineer
to deliver a critical upgrade program for a large government client. This contract offers the opportunity to play a key role in a major SQL Server uplift project within a complex Azure environment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Create Proof of Concept for
    SQL Server 2025
  • Upgrade and optimise
    SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
    and
    SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
  • Decommission Windows Server 2016 environments
  • Drive upgrades and ensure compliance across the environment

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong experience in SQL Server upgrade/migration projects
  • Proven expertise across Azure-hosted environments
  • Deep knowledge of Windows Server versions and upgrade pathways
  • Hands-on background in SSRS and SSMS updates
  • Ability to lead complex technical upgrades in government environments

Clearance & Checks:

  • Must hold
    Baseline Security Clearance
  • Will be required to undergo an additional police check

Contract Details:

  • 6–9 month engagement
    commencing
    October
  • Canberra-based role (on-site presence required)
