About The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, our autonomous HSE Advisors are responsible for supporting the project to successfully implement the HSE management system and programs to achieve a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible work environment.

We are looking for experienced individuals to actively coach our employees to promote a positive culture on site. These roles will work on a 2/1 FIFO roster to our Infrastructure projects with scopes including high risk FRP / Tunnel construction / Civil works in the Snowy Mountains area of NSW, flying from Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney.

Your Role

  • Monitor and review Project HSE Management Plans (including Emergency Response Plan)
  • Deliver Corporate and client HSE programmes
  • Creation of Project specific toolbox topics to address local HSE issues and facilitation of toolbox meetings
  • Coach and influence site workers and management on the Projects hazard and risk management tools (e.g. JHA/SWMS, Take 5, hazard report and permits) and reinforce safe behaviours and address at-risk behaviours in the field
  • Conduct and support with incident investigations and identify causal factors
  • Champion HSE inspections with site personnel (including subcontractors) and coach participants in identifying hazards and controls
  • Monitor and review HSE registers
  • Support injury management on site including monitoring injured person's and projects adherence to return to work plans onsite
  • Completion of HSE Reports
  • Build effective working relationships with all stakeholders, including client representatives
About you:
  • Demonstrated experience as a HSE Advisor on High-Risk Civil projects
  • Tunnel construction and/or FRP project experience – A definite advantage
  • Experience with FIFO or DIDO projects working for a Contractor
  • Formal OSH Qualifications such as Cert IV or Diploma is preferred
  • Cert 4 in Training and Assessment
  • Self-starter with ability to communicate with all stakeholder levels
