About Us

We provide person-centered care and support to help our clients achieve their goals and live independently. We are currently seeking dedicated, compassionate, and reliable Support Workers to join our team and help provide high-quality support to our clients in a range of settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support clients in achieving their personal goals and promoting their independence
- Maintain accurate records and reports of care provided, including progress notes
- Follow individualized care plans and report changes, and keep accurate records
- Respond to emergencies or urgent situations as required
- Assist with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Support daily living tasks including meals, cleaning, and laundry.
- Help with mobility, transfers, and use of equipment.
- Provide companionship and support community participation (shopping, outings, appointments)
- Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
- Comply with policies, safety, and quality standards
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A caring and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience as a support worker or similar role (preferred, but not essential)
- Relevant qualifications such as Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or similar (preferred but not essential)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (if required for the role)
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holiday
Potential Interview Questions:
- This role requires staff who are reliable and committed to their shifts. Can you share how you manage your availability and deal with unexpected changes or emergencies?
- Why are you interested in Disability Support Worker Role, and what do you find most rewarding and most challenging in this kind of work?
- Can you describe the steps you take when supporting a participant with dysphagia during mealtime to prevent choking?
- Tell us about your experience performing enemas or supporting bowel care. What precautions do you take to maintain the participant's dignity and comfort?
- Describe your experience with wound care. How do you identify signs of infection or complications, and what actions would you take?
- What infection control practices do you follow during personal or clinical care such as enemas or wound dressing?
- Describe a time when you had to work with a multidisciplinary team (nurse, physio, speech therapist, etc.) to support a participant.
- Can you explain the principles of safe manual handling and how you apply them when assisting participants with limited mobility?
