Join a respected, client-focused law firm as we expand into our brand-new Southport office. OMB Solicitors is seeking a motivated and organised Family Law Paralegal or Legal Secretary to support our growing Family Law team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced legal support professional — or a law student with prior legal admin experience — to take the next step in their career within a supportive and professional environment.


About the Role

As a Family Law Paralegal / Legal Secretary, you'll provide essential administrative and legal support to our experienced Family Law team. Your role will be key to ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and delivering excellent outcomes for our clients.


Key Responsibilities
  • Handle initial enquiries from potential new clients
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and court appearances
  • Prepare legal correspondence and draft court documents
  • Manage disclosure and file documentation
  • Open and close client files, including retainer documentation
  • Assist with billing and receipting
  • Maintain accurate file records (electronic and physical)
  • Provide exceptional customer service in all client interactions

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal (Family Law experience preferred)
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Initiative and the ability to work both independently and within a team
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional presentation and a strong work ethic
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word (document editing and formatting)
  • Experience with LawMaster software is highly regarded (not essential)
