Arup is seeking to appoint a Rail Business Leader to drive the continual success and growth of Arup's Rail Division in the NSW and ACT regions. The Rail Lead NSW/ACT will lead a multi-disciplinary, high performing rail team in delivering high-quality, large-scale infrastructure projects for our broad portfolio of clients across the states. This is an exciting time for a highly experienced engineering leader to step into a state leadership role to shape the future of rail infrastructure in Australia.
The Opportunity
- Strengthen Arup's market presence in Rail in NSW and ACT by leveraging existing client relationships, expanding industry networks and representing Arup at industry events and conferences
- Develop and deliver key rail infrastructure projects across the states and support the delivery of rail projects in the APAC region
- Grow the division through winning and unlocking opportunities that are aligned with Arup's core values, strategy and strengths
- Leverage Arup's broad set of disciplines and expertise across NSW, ACT and nationally supporting the delivery of rail projects
- Build trusted internal connections across our APAC region and globally to leverage our experience and skills into the local NSW and ACT markets

Is this role right for you?
- Possess recognised relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive rail industry experience within a consulting business environment
- Hold membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership
- Demonstrate deep and broad experience in the rail industry, with a preference on delivering major transport projects. Be well connected and recognised nationally as an expert within the project management industry
- Have strong commercial acumen with a track record in identifying and developing business opportunities in the rail/transport sector.
- Be an insightful leader with a passion for developing the knowledge, experience and skills of others
