About the role

Fourth Lane Projects is seeking a skilled Carpenter or Apprentice Carpenter to join our dynamic team in Melbourne, VIC. As a full-time position, you will play a crucial role in the construction and renovation of high-quality residential and commercial projects across the city. Whether you are an experienced Carpenter or a budding apprentice, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing, installation of doors and windows, constructing cabinetry and built-in furniture, and finishing works
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings to ensure accurate and compliant construction
  • Collaborating with the project management team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work
  • Maintaining a safe and organised worksite, adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • For apprentices, working closely with experienced Carpenters to learn the trade and develop your skills

What we're looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Carpenter, or a passion for carpentry and a willingness to learn as an Apprentice
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision and accuracy
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to find solutions
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
  • A keen eye for design and an understanding of construction techniques
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • For apprentices, a commitment to completing your training and obtaining your Carpentry qualification
