A fun loving, caring and compassionate support worker is required for a female with a spinal cord injury based in Missabotti. Familiarity with country driving/living would be helpful.

If you are based in the immediate surrounds to Bowraville, love to have a laugh, have a knack for organising / sorting and enjoy helping others then we would love to hear from you.

About the Role:

  • Personal care including showering and toileting.
  • Manual Handling and transfers (hoist transfers)
  • General domestic duties and meal preparation.
  • Community assistance, including transportation to appointments and outings.

Shift times on offer, but not limited to,

  • Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays : Mornings from 7am-10am and Afternoons from 5pm -7pm
  • Alternate weekends from 5:30pm- 7:30pm

There is also the possibility of some fill-in work available.

Mandatory requirements:

  • National Police Check
  • Current unrestricted divers license and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to be flexible
  • Must be reliable due to the nature of the role
  • Local knowledge of area

Preferred Qualifications

  • First Aid
  • Manual Handling Certificate
  • Certificate 3 in Disability Care

Experience supporting individuals within their home or in a similar setting will be highly regarded, however, guidance will be given to meet the needs of the individual.
