The opportunity

We're looking for a highly motivated Architecture & Design, Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our dynamic team in NSW/ACT. Reporting to the NSW/ACT State Manager, this role focuses on driving specification, increasing market share, and creating demand for Weathertex cladding products within the architectural, design, medium-density housing sectors (up to four storeys), as well as government-funded projects including schools and social housing.

You will be responsible for developing, managing and growing a portfolio of architects, building designers, specifiers and key industry stakeholders, ensuring Weathertex is specified as the preferred choice for sustainable cladding solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, building designers and key stakeholders in the housing and medium-density sectors, as well as government-funded projects.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive product specifications and demand within the architectural & design and government sector in NSW and ACT.
  • Identify new business opportunities and capitalise on market trends.
  • Collaborate with developers, and construction professionals to ensure seamless specification and project success.
  • Conduct compelling face to face and online CPD presentations and product training to architects and designers.
  • Maintain and manage via CRM a robust pipeline of opportunity and projects whilst driving demand for Weathertex cladding within the specifiers market.

About you

We're seeking a results driven sales and specification professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the NSW/ACT architectural and design landscape.

  • Experience in product specification within the building/construction industry.
  • Well-connected within the architectural and building design sectors.
  • A self-starter with a strategic mindset and proven B2B sales expertise.
  • Sound knowledge of building code and practices.
  • Experience working with government agencies, social housing developers, and school infrastructure projects is highly regarded.
  • Capable of working in team environment where the success of the individual deliver's benefits across the entire team.
  • Previous CRM experience is preferred.
  • A degree in business, architecture, construction, or a related field is preferred.
