THE ROLE

Reporting to the Manager, Policy and Improvement, the Policy Officer supports the development of policy and projects on information sharing and MARAM policy.

The role operates within a complex and dynamic environment that requires capacity to exercise sound judgement, and the ability to proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

  • Support policy and project development, consultation, advice and delivery of the Policy and Improvement team's program of work.
  • Undertake research and environmental scans to provide proactive policy advice and reasoned recommendations to support innovative solutions to complex and sensitive issues.
  • Support the development of policy and program initiatives that meet government and departmental objectives within resourcing, timeline, and budget parameters.
