Job opportunity
We are looking for a
Proposal Manager
to support our growing business across Australia and New Zealand. The purpose of this role is to act as a true partner to the business and to provide strategic support to key parts of the business. We are looking for someone to support a variety of different teams and help support our positive environment with all our colleagues.
We are looking for someone to development new clients and lead our major tenders across the business. In this role, you will work closely with our leaders across 6 service lines to facilitate strategic client engagement, drive a successful tender strategy, and uncover opportunities to cross-sell additional services.
For this role, you will be instrumental in our growth, managing the full tender and business development cycle. This includes:
- Reviewing procurement documentation, leading bid go/no go discussions and formulating clear bid plans for delivering a compelling offer.
- Leading the strategic approach and execution of high-quality proposals, tenders, bid responses, and supporting sales documentation. This includes working with Board-level directors and other functional teams to deliver tender responses through collation of information, writing tender responses directly, or supporting others to produce quality responses.
- Monitoring pipelines and routes to market to anticipate procurement activities and support early preparation.
- Support consultants in preparing for client meetings with tailored materials, insights, and capability documentation.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities by recognizing client needs beyond their current service use and introducing relevant internal contacts.
- Track all client interactions, opportunities, and outcomes, ensuring visibility into pipeline activity.
- Build strong internal relationships with service line leads and project teams to ensure effective coordination and follow-up.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Applicants must have full rights to work in Australia.
- At least 7 years of experience in business development, marketing, and bidding within a professional services environment, ideally within the built environment.
- A relevant degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field are highly advantageous.
- Proven experience in delivering winning bids and proposals.
- Experience with client communication and understanding what the client is looking to solve.
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience with database management and the sales process.
