About the opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our finance team.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with month end. This includes but is not limited to
  • Obtain and review individual investees' financial data (will have responsibility for a portfolio of investees).
  • Provide analysis and commentary on major variances / significant events and communicate with Operations team / management.
  • Provide accounting and tax support to investees as required.
  • Integrate the accounting of new acquisitions.
  • Review group consolidated data, prepare group balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with year-end and half year end financial report preparation for the Group.
  • Prepare tax returns and tax journals for investees using CTS software.
  • Provide support to the Operations team for any due diligence or related transactions.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement.
  • Assist with audit queries from the external auditors.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and duties as needed e.g., implementation of new accounting standards, accounting or tax software.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Degree and CA or CPA qualified; strong academic records
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience (post-graduation)
  • High level of professionalism and impeccable attention to detail
  • Energetic, self-motivated and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to thrive within a dynamic team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills required
  • A strong team player who can work autonomously when required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Intermediate to Advance) and SAP desirable
  • Experience within a Big 4 or mid-tier-chartered firm preferred
