About the role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, we are seeking a Maintenance Electrician to complete breakdown management, predictive/preventive maintenance, as well as small projects.

Responsibilities:As an integral member of the maintenance team, you will also: 

  • Work collaboratively with other site Electricians, Fitters and Production teams to achieve high levels of plant optimisation.
  • The delivery of reliable, efficient and safe routine preventative maintenance activities.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with plant and machinery that may be mechanical or electrical in nature.
  • Responding to breakdowns through prioritising and carrying out repairs in a safe manner.
  • Working with the Maintenance Manager to conduct root cause analysis on failures and ensuring follow-up on identified actions.
  • Maintaining all registers, logs and systems to track repairs, notifications and work activities.
  • Liaise with Production Supervisors and machine operators about the performance of equipment.

Key Requirements

  • Trade qualified A Grade electrician with proven experience in a Food/beverage Manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Experience with pumps, motors, conveyors, packaging equipment and PLC fault finding.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS (MEX preferred).
  • Ability to diagnose equipment issues and identify problems at root cause.
  • The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
