About Ashton's Place & Autism Connect Early (ACE)
The Autism Connect Early (ACE) Programme offers Early Childhood Support to autistic children who are experiencing developmental delay. The ACE programme has been developed by Ashton's Place, a not for profit organisation that aims to provide early childhood support to children within their naturalistic childcare and kindergarten environment.
About your new role
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with families.
- Work within a transdisciplinary team, delivering individualised and quality Early Childhood Intervention to children with Autism.
- Collaborate with your lead educator and the therapy team to ensure strategies to meet individual learning goals are embedded within everyday routines.
- Support meaningful participation within the mainstream Kindergarten Programme.
- Contribute to the monitoring and recording of child participation and developmental progress.
- Develop your skills by actively participating in autism specific early intervention training with experienced educators and therapists.
- Contribute to research processes as required for ongoing programme evaluation and research projects.
A little about you
- Certificate III or Diploma Early Childhood Education & Care qualification or other ACEQA approved qualification.
- Must have current Blue Card, First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates or a willingness to obtain.
- Experience working with young autistic children.
- Ability to Implement stimulating programs based on the children's interests, the EYLF and NQF.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to the provision of quality education to children with autism.
- Confidence in building strong relationships and partnerships with children and families.
- Ability to observe and record children's learning and contribute to their educational portfolios
