About the role

Little World for Discoverers is seeking an experienced Educational Leader / Float Educator to join their passionate team at their centre in Oxenford, QLD. This part-time role is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children, while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide high-quality educational programs and experiences that support the development, wellbeing and learning of children
  • Collaborate with the Centre Director and teaching team to implement the centre's curriculum and pedagogical approach
  • Coach and mentor other educators, supporting their professional development
  • Observe and document children's progress, using this information to inform curriculum planning
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment
  • Build strong relationships with children, families and the wider community
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards

What we're looking for

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • Significant experience as an early childhood educator, with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team
  • Previous experience in an Educational Leader role or similar leadership position within early childhood education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Current first aid qualification, including anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management
  • Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an early childhood educator, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
