We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Support Office team. You'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements that support business performance.

About the role

  • Prepare and assist with monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting
  • Perform month end close, ensuring accuracy of the General Ledger
  • Ensure that balance sheet accounts are reconciled accurately and efficiently each month
  • Liaise closely with the Finance Manager to monitor daily cash position
  • Assist with weekly payroll processing
  • Maintenance of the company's asset register
  • Preparation and lodgement of statutory accounts and compliance reporting
  • Assist the Finance Manager with development of the annual budgets
  • Identify areas to improve business efficiencies and reduce costs
  • Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc tasks

What you could bring to the role

  • Ability to analyse financial data for insights and to identify errors and omissions
  • Demonstrated accuracy
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Commercial and business awareness
  • Organisational skills and ability to adhere to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting or commerce
  • Previous experience leading and guiding a team
  • CA/CPA qualification
  • Demonstrable knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles
  • Demonstrable knowledge of financial and accounting software applications
  • Demonstrable knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
