Screen Producers Australia
 is the peak industry body that represents Australian independent film and television producers and supports the interests of businesses in their production of screen content, across all genres and formats. We host a number of key events throughout the year including Australia's leading screen industry conference, SCREEN FOREVER.

Role Description

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Director of Marketing, Partnerships and Events, joining a creative, passionate, and dynamic team. The role is hands-on and detail-oriented, providing valuable exposure to the film and screen industry. It focuses on building industry relationships and supporting both the retention and acquisition of new partnerships for SPA.

Event delivery

  • Play a key role in delivering the annual SCREEN FOREVER conference, ensuring seamless execution and integration of partner activations, entitlements, and branding.
  • Manage daily relationships and deliverables for sponsorships and government partnerships across SPA's programs and events, both online and in person.
  • Support the events team with branding, marketing, activation requirements, invitations, ticketing and event logistics where required
  • Coordinate event and marketing logistics for partner activities in collaboration with the events, programming, and marketing teams.

Partnership development

  • Assist in retaining existing sponsors and identifying new sponsorship opportunities for the organisation,
    by building and maintaining strong partner relationships
  • Develop compelling proposals and partnership strategies tailored to the organisations goals
  • Manage government funding application submissions, ensuring key dates, deliverables, and reporting requirements are met.
  • Support the sponsorship portfolio through operational excellence in planning, delivery and measurement.
  • Implement contractual benefits for all key sponsorship assets and deliverables
  • Assist where required in the review of sponsorship strategies to identify gaps and opportunities
  • Collaborate with events and marketing team members to deliver partner reports upon the conclusion of each activity,
    providing insights and recommendations.
  • Provide support to the Marketing, Events, and Partnerships team, as well as to other areas of the organisation as needed.

About You

  • 2-3 years experience in sponsorship, events (in-person and digital), and/or marketing roles.
  • Proven project management skills, strong attention to detail and planning capabilities are essential.
  • Takes initiative, assumes accountability, and holds the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to bring energy and innovation into your work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are important, as you will represent Screen Producers Australia and its senior management in interactions with external clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience with Canva, and event or project software is advantageous.
  • Enthusiasm and interest for the Australian Screen Industry is a must

Additional Information

This role presents a valuable opportunity to develop your career in sponsorship, events, and marketing within the Australian screen industry. Some after-hours work—including event attendance and travel—may be required. The ability to travel to the Gold Coast for SCREEN FOREVER, 26–30 April 2026, is essential. We operate in a hybrid model with 4 days in office in Surry Hills, and 1 day flexible.
