About the Role

We're looking for a Financial Controller to join our team, either part-time or full-time. You'll take full ownership of the finance function, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently. From managing payroll and financial reporting to improving systems and processes, you'll work closely with our leadership team to drive growth and performance.

We're seeking someone with proven experience managing the financial operations of a business with revenue exceeding $30 million. You'll bring structure, commercial insight, and confidence to support our continued expansion.

What You'll Do

  • Manage accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
  • Process staff payroll, superannuation, PAYG, and STP submissions
  • Oversee BAS, PAYG, and ATO compliance reporting
  • Prepare monthly reports, budgets, forecasts, and cashflow statements
  • Keep financial records audit-ready and up to date
  • Ensure compliance with ATO, OSR, Fair Work, and insurance requirements and government reporting
  • Provide insights to help guide business decisions and improve performance

About You

  • Experienced in finance or accounting, with solid hands-on skills
  • Confident using Xero and managing payroll and reporting cycles
  • Organised, accurate, and able to juggle multiple priorities
  • A team player who's approachable and enjoys working with people
  • Someone who likes variety, values a good laugh, and takes pride in doing things well

Qualifications

  • Qualification in accounting, finance, or business (Certificate IV, Diploma, or Degree)
  • CPA or CA qualification (advantageous but not essential)
