Financial Controller – High-Growth Ecommerce Brand

A scaling ecommerce brand is looking for its first internal finance hire - a Financial Controller who can build structure, commercial clarity, and financial confidence during a period of rapid growth.

This is not a corporate finance function. It's hands-on, dynamic, and suited to someone who thrives in fast-moving, founder-led environments where decisions are made quickly and growth happens fast. You'll be the person who finally brings discipline, accuracy, and forward visibility to a business that is already hugely successful, but now needs a proper internal finance function to scale without surprises.

The Role

You'll own the finance function end-to-end. That includes tightening reporting, building efficient processes, and giving the founders the clarity they need across cash flow, profitability, and performance.

This covers:

  • Month-end close, reconciliations, journals, accruals, and reporting
  • Building forecasting models that connect operational detail to commercial outcomes
  • Cash flow management and working capital oversight
  • Creating structure around controls, documentation, and financial processes
  • Working directly with founders and internal leaders on budgeting and financial planning
  • Liaising with external accountants and ensuring smooth compliance
  • Lifting the quality, speed, and reliability of financial insight across the whole business

You'll be the person who finally answers the question:
"Where are we today, where are we heading, and what do we need to change?"
