UPS Service Technician

As a Service Technician at Chase Power, you'll work on a variety of electrical projects, specialising in the maintenance and installation of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and Power Factor Correction units. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our clients receive the reliable, high-quality service we're known for. Standard working hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. However, flexibility is required, as earlier starts are common. After-hours/weekend work is occasionally required.

Ideally, candidates will reside within a 30-minute drive of Ormiston QLD to ensure reliability and ease of commute.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine testing following strict standard operating procedures
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on UPS and PFC systems
  • Install and service UPS systems
  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to clients
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports
  • Work collaboratively with the Chase Power team to meet project deadlines

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification in electrical, electronics, or related field (highly regarded but not essential)
  • Experience with Uninterruptible Power Supplies and Power Factor Correction Units would be highly valued, but is not a prerequisite as full training will be offered to the right applicant
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Sound computer/keyboarding skills for accurate completion of service reports
  • Valid driver's licence and own vehicle
  • Right to work in Australia (Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa)
