About the Role

The Oaks Ranch is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable First-Year Apprentice Chef to join our friendly kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone starting out in their culinary career who's passionate about food and eager to learn in a professional environment.

You'll be working under the guidance of our experienced Head Chef and kitchen team, gaining hands-on skills in all areas of food preparation and service while completing your formal qualification in Commercial Cookery.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Assisting with basic food preparation and cooking tasks
  • Learning kitchen operations, safety, and hygiene practices
  • Helping to prepare ingredients and set up for service
  • Maintaining a clean and organised workspace
  • Working across breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts as part of a supportive team

About You

  • Passionate about food and hospitality
  • Eager to learn and develop your cooking skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and some evenings
  • Ready to start or recently commenced a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
