Traffic Management Designer – Traffic Management | Darwin (CBD)

Keegan Group is looking for a highly capable and self-motivated Traffic Management Designer to support traffic control operations across our Darwin region. This pivotal role combines hands-on coordination with strategic planning, contributing directly to the delivery of safe, compliant, and effective traffic management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, draft, and review Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS), Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), and Construction Traffic Management Plans (CTMPs) in alignment with Austroads and NT-specific guidelines.
  • Submit and manage permit applications with Local Government Authorities and Territory Road Authorities.
  • Coordinate closely with planning, compliance, and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution of traffic control strategies.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships, ensuring high service standards and encouraging repeat business.
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance and contribute to continuous improvement across operations.

About You:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in traffic operations, planning, or related project coordination.
  • Solid knowledge of traffic legislation, permitting processes, and best practice planning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and traffic planning software (e.g., RapidPlan or similar).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prepare Work Zone Traffic Management (PWZTM) certificate.
  • White Card (Construction Induction).
  • Valid Driver's Licence.
