The Role

We're seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control & Order Management Specialist to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in precision and wants to make a real impact on customer satisfaction. You'll be responsible for ensuring every order meets our exceptional quality standards before reaching our customers. Availability on Monday and Thursday is compulsory.

Primary Focus: Quality control of all outgoing orders with progression to order management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control (Primary Focus):

• Conduct thorough quality inspections of all fresh produce using our comprehensive checklist system
• Verify order accuracy against customer specifications and substitution requests
• Implement quality control procedures for packing and delivery preparation
• Document quality issues and communicate with suppliers when necessary
• Ensure proper storage and handling of organic produce to maintain freshness

Order Management (Progressive Responsibility):

• Process online orders
• Coordinate with retail partners and manage stock levels
• Handle customer order modifications and substitution requests
• Manage delivery scheduling and coordination

General Duties:

• Pack orders for delivery using appropriate packaging (cardboard boxes, insulated bags with ice packs)
• Maintain clean and organized packing areas
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
• Support customer service initiatives as needed

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Previous experience in quality control, food handling, or retail environments
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality processes
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow systematic procedures
• Physical ability to handle fresh produce and lift packages
• Must be available to work every Monday and Thursday, starting at 7 am.
• Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic

Highly Desirable:

• Knowledge of organic products and health foods
• Experience with inventory management systems
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain
• Customer service experience
• Understanding of e-commerce operations

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $30.00 – $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 25 per week
