At voco Gosford, modern elegance meets warm hospitality in the heart of the Central Coast. Discover our 130 room hotel, featuring six vibrant and exciting hospitality venues; including a spacious 2000m2 modern Australian pub, a chic rooftop bar, a signature restaurant, a swim up pool bar, and two levels of rooftop conference and event space overlooking the stunning Brisbane Waters. At voco Gosford, we'll cater to both business and leisure guests, as well as provide a swanky new destination for locals to meet.

We're opening a brand-new state of the art, Modern Australian pub and gaming venue within the new voco Gosford/The Archibald precinct and we're looking for a passionate, creative, dedicated, humble and experienced Duty Manager who's ready to roll up their sleeves, set the tone and assist in leading our team as we prepare to seamlessly open the doors in 2025.

Our Modern Gastro Pub features a large 2000m2 space that comfortably accommodates a stylish bistro with all day dining and a stunning bar operation that has fine wines, curated cocktails and craft beers covered. We will also have multiple large tv screens dotted around the venue where all main events will be broadcasted and a spacious gaming area.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:

• A capable people leader, responsible for developing the team's product knowledge, service skills and customer experience to make sure they deliver with compliance and to top standard

• Assist in with performance management through coaching and feedback

• Assist to establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals. Help guests with their requests and complaints – making sure you maintain a high level of guest satisfaction

• Keep an eye on competitor activity / industry innovation.

• Handle food and beverage inventory procedures. Determine minimum and maximum stocks for all food, beverage, material, and equipment

• Sound knowledge of all liquor licensing laws and ensuring the venue is compliant in all areas

• Identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue

What we need from you

We're looking for a creative and motivated professional with the perfect blend of strong leadership, operational expertise, and financial/business acumen. In addition, you will possess:

• Higher education qualification or advanced training in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Management, culinary arts, or related field preferred

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar roles

• Experience in Food & Beverage and/or Hotel Operations

• Strong leadership skills and not afraid to get their hands dirty

• Experience in pre-opening or new venue launches is ideal but not essential

• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card, as required by local law

• Must speak fluent English
