At Northparkes
At Northparkes, we are known for having innovative, technical and collaborative people. The operations include block caving, sub-level caving and open pit and was the first mine in Australia to use the block cave mining method. This roster is 7:7 and a 12 hour day, dayshift only roster. This role is a residential position within the Parkes local area.
About the role
Reporting to the Underground Mining Coordinator the role will undertake typical service crew activities to ensure smooth operation of our underground mining operations.
- Carrying out operational tasks relating to ventilation, water, power, ground support, and compressed air, assisting colleagues to do the same and seeking the advice and support from the Mining Shift Supervisor as required;
- Mine infrastructure and services - assistance with maintenance of existing infrastructure and support installation of new infrastructure and services, ie, roadways, air, water, electrical cable.
- Logistics deliveries and stores truck operation - explosives transfer, ground support deliveries, etc.
- Commit to maintaining health, safety and security standards and principles, both within own workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout Evolution.
- Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the Evolution Mining values.
About you
- Currently reside within the Parkes area or willing to relocate to Parkes.
- Minimum of One (1) years previous experience in a similar position.
- Working at heights certification
- Security clearance to handle explosives.
- Strong commitment to safety as a way of work
- Current "C" Class Australian Drivers Licence
