With over 35 years of experience, we are a proud Australian company delivering high-quality playgrounds and open space solutions across local government, schools, and commercial landscapes.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Process Analyst to join our team on a 6-month contract to play a key role in capturing, analysing, and documenting our existing business processes.
You'll work closely with our operations department to map current workflows, identify opportunities for standardisation, and produce clear, professional process documentation that supports operational excellence. The Business Process Analyst will provide the foundation for future improvement initiates
While this position focuses initially on production documentation flows, it may expand to include other areas of the business depending on performance and organisational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Process Mapping & Documentation
Observe and analyse business workflows to develop clear, detailed process maps and supporting documentation.
Use of process mapping tools and platforms to visualise workflows.
Maintain an up-to-date company systems and procedures file.
Review and validate documentation to ensure it accurately reflects current practices and complies with company and regulatory requirements.
Support the standardisation of templates, naming conventions, and documentation quality across the business.
Collaboration & Data Gathering
Work closely with team members and stakeholders to capture accurate, end-to-end process information.
Conduct interviews, workshops, and observation sessions to understand workflows and identify gaps or inefficiencies.
Reconcile differences between documented and actual practices, ensuring consistency and clarity in documentation.
Reporting & Communication
Present process maps, findings, and recommendations to management in a clear and structured format.
Provide monthly progress summaries and highlight key insights or risks identified through analysis.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling business-critical information.
Continuous Improvement Support
Identify and suggest potential areas for process enhancement or automation (without implementing changes directly).
Support project teams in preparing documentation for upcoming improvement initiatives.
Contribute to the development of a process documentation framework for future use across the organisation.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in business process mapping and documentation.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively gather information and engage stakeholders.
Proficiency with process mapping tools (e.g. Visio, Lucidchart, Miro)
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a project-based environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Business Process Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline (preferred).
Formal training or certification in process mapping methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN) is highly regarded.
Further Details
Reports to: CEO (with functional reporting to relevant Directors per project)
Contract Term: Approx. 6 months (project-based, with possible extension)
Reporting Requirements: Monthly summary of process mapping progress
Why Join Us
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys structure, process, and documentation. You'll have the autonomy to work across departments, contribute to operational efficiency, and help lay the groundwork for future process improvements.
