Technology Platform Lead

The Technology Platform Lead will be responsible for driving the technology strategy for Goodman's global website and ensuring it aligns with business and marketing strategies.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal Marketing and IT teams, as well as external vendor partners, to create a comprehensive technology strategy and roadmap.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the platform's scalability, performance, and availability, overseeing the website's technical design, architecture, operation, content management (Sitecore), security, performance, integrations, automated testing, disaster recovery, and compliance. You will also serve as the key internal contact for the global marketing and IT teams for all technical issues and escalations.

Key Responsibilities
Platform Development and Strategy:

• Create and communicate a long-term technology strategy and roadmap for the Goodman website, including the 15 regional and country sites, Sitecore platform, and hosting infrastructure, aligning with business needs and the digital marketing strategy.
• Collaborate with development and hosting partners to design a technical architecture that maximises value and aligns with the Goodman IT strategy.

System Performance / Reliability / Support

• Liaise with marketing, development agencies, hosting partners, and other vendors to ensure the efficient operation of the Goodman website.
• Oversee and prioritize DevOps boards to address both marketing and technical requests through sprint cycles.
• Manage key activities for critical platforms, including upgrades, patching, disaster recovery testing, and vulnerability responses.
• Maintain an effective website support model and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

Enhance / Innovate / Projects

• Assist to review the design of new platform architecture solutions to meet business opportunities and challenges.
• Provide technical expertise on larger infrastructure change projects.
• Assist the marketing team in planning post-implementation support for new systems and functionality.

About You

• Natural collaborator: You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and marketers. Your ability to communicate effectively and foster teamwork with a diverse range of stakeholders will be key to our success.
• Strong commercial acumen: Ability to communicate complex technical matters to a commercial team and to interpret commercial needs into technical requirements.
• Experience with Sitecore: You should have an in-depth understanding of Sitecore architecture, including its content management and digital marketing capabilities.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in NextJs, Node, .NET, C#, and SQL is essential.
• CI/CD expertise: Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using Azure DevOps is a must. You'll streamline our development processes and ensure smooth, automated deployments.
• Innovative problem solver: The ability to identify issues and implement creative solutions will keep our platform functioning to high service standards.
• Security focus: Ensuring the Annual Disaster Recovery and Penetration Tests are performed and remediated where needed is critical.
• Continuous learner: The digital landscape is always evolving. Staying up to date with the latest industry trends is crucial.
• Strategic mindset: Beyond the day-to-day, you'll have a strategic mindset to plan and execute long-term goals for our platform's growth and innovation.
