Project Finance Lead

About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Project Finance Lead to drive financial analysis and modelling across all projects and programmes. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial integrity, supporting strategic decision-making, and collaborating closely with management to deliver clear insights into project financials and benefits. This is a fixed-term contract opportunity until July 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing project/program budgets, forecasts, and actuals to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Providing financial analysis on future IT BAU cost structures post-transformation
• Supporting business case development and benefits tracking
• Conducting monthly variance analysis and detailed financial reviews
• Enhancing project management tools and monthly reporting processes
• Delivering financial insights using advanced data analytics
• Collaborating across teams to build strong stakeholder relationships
• Supporting broader finance operations as needed

About You

You're a strategic thinker with a sharp eye for detail and a natural flair for financial storytelling. You enjoy working in fast-paced environments and are confident navigating ambiguity. You're not just comfortable with change—you champion it. Your ability to influence, collaborate, and communicate makes you a trusted partner across the business.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• CPA or CA certification
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a finance team within retail/consumer/personal banking
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Deep understanding of retail banking balance sheets and P&L
• Proven experience in IT transformation programs and project accounting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word
• Power BI proficiency
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills
• Proactive mindset with a drive to suggest and implement improvements
