What you'll be doing

Reporting to the CCN (Coffs Clinical Network) Clinical Director of Medicine, the Network Director for Emergency Medicine, and the CCN Director of Medical Services, the GP VMO for BRDH will provide a contemporary comprehensive service and clinical care to patients within the Coffs Clinical Network and in particular to Bellinger River District Hospital (BRDH). The GP VMO will also assist in the education role for the Coffs Clinical Network and the GP Training Hub at BRDH.

The General Practitioner can request responsibility for the provision of specialist services to:

  • Emergency patients and on-call overnight for Emergency Department and Bellinger River District Hospital (BRDH)
  • Inpatients in acute and long-stay wards as an admitting medical officer
  • Both Emergency and on-call and Inpatients

This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.
