Position description: Specialist Mathematic/Mathematics - 1.0

Collaborate within the Mathematics team to deliver innovative curriculum and pedagogy across a range of year levels.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and reflect on inclusive and engaging lessons and units aligned with the Australian Curriculum (Mathematics) and the SACE

  • Delivering curriculum within the BSS learning area of Mathematics across a range of year levels, including up to Stage 2 Specialist Mathematics

  • Work collaboratively with students, colleagues, families, and the wider community

  • Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback cycles

  • Create a safe and respectful learning environment where students can thrive

  • Active participation in all elements of school life, including house and home group teacher responsibilities

Selection questions:

1.What does a high-impact mathematics classroom look, sound and feel like to you?

2.Describe how you build and sustain teacher - student relationships with the goal of improving learning outcomes particularly for diverse learners.

3.Give an example of when you sought and acted on feedback to improve your classroom practice, task or unit design in mathematics.
