Our client is a well-established quantity surveying consultancy with a long-standing reputation for supporting construction projects across Australia. We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Sydney.

For more than 50 years, our client has delivered consistent, professional advice on construction costs, programs, and contracts. Our client, work across a diverse range of capital works projects and are recognised for our practical, reliable, and client-focused approach. Our team is built on collaboration, quality, and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management

• Prepare detailed cost plans and project budgets

• Analyse and benchmark construction costs

• Monitor project and program costs, providing advice when required

• Deliver cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender evaluations

• Contribute to value management processes

• Assess tenders and support contract negotiations

• Administer contracts, including managing variations and claims

Team Leadership & Mentoring

• Lead and support a team of Quantity Surveyors

• Mentor junior staff in daily tasks and ongoing professional development

• Collaborate with Associates on project reviews and quality assurance

• Provide regular updates and reporting to Associates and Directors

About You

• Minimum of 6 years' post-graduate experience

• Strong knowledge of construction methods and procurement practices

• Proficiency in CostX and other relevant software

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organisational and time-management abilities

• Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines

• Professional, reliable, and proactive
